There are plenty of attractions and activities to enjoy around the waterfront town of Mandurah, south of Perth. A coastal holiday location with local rivers, inlets and estuaries makes it a perfect boating and fishing town. Relax at the ocean marina on the water or at local restaurants and cafes.

Performing Arts Centre, Mandurah cinema, gallery and theatre all offer many productions and performances. Local shops offer some relaxing retail therapy. Houseboats are popular for vacation hire and a wide range of other accommodation in Mandurah is available.

Salt lakes, dolphins, deep sea fishing charter adventures and other organised estuary tours provide great activities to explore the region. Beautiful beaches, bays and inlets are found all along the coastal stretch. Diving tours and underwater observatories nearby are a great way to explore the ocean life.

Walk along the boardwalk and view the fascinating sediment formations called thrombolites at Lake Clifton in the Yalgorup National Park, or further south at Lake Preston. Golf, water sports, historical museums, native wildlife parks and local wineries are close by. Why not drive further south to explore the spectacular Margaret River wine region, with quaint cottages, accommodation, local restaurants and wineries to indulge in delicious local produce.

Visit nearby local towns of Serpentine to view scenic Serpentine Falls, historic Jarradale or Pinjarra, or Hotham Valley steam train at Dwellingup. For something different Kwillana Dreaming offers day tours to experience the local Noongar Aboriginal culture surrounding Mandurah. Take a pleasant walk along the foreshore to see native birdlife and stunning sunsets of Western Australia.
